The Mary by Papillio is an interpretation of the classic Mary Jane in a rustic and especially comfy version. It boasts a subtle slit at the front of the upper as well as an ankle strap. The ankle strap ensures optimum support ā€“ even on wedge heels. Its natural design is down to the upper made from especially soft suede, which hugs the foot like a second skin.

  • Sole: light polyurethane (PU) sole

Suede is a split leather with a napped finish. It has a velvety surface and is very soft to the touch. It also boasts a high moisture absorption capacity.

Insole:Ā Natural leather

Natural leather can be recognized by its untreated surface. BIRKENSTOCK purposely does not treat surface grains and other characteristic features. BIRKENSTOCK uses sturdy leather with a thickness of 2.8 to 3.2 millimeters as upper material.

Footbed material:Ā Polyurethane

Polyurethane (PU) is a flexible, water- and dirt-repellent synthetic material which makes footwear easy to care for.
